Two Homes Broken Into in Reading

The following is an excerpt from the Reading Police Department log. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the  log from Tuesday through Wednesday. The information is open to the public.

Tuesday, May 8

  • At 11:02 a.m., a Franklin Street resident reported that her home was broken into. She came home to find the back door smashed.
  • At 1:56 p.m., a Buckskin Drive resident reported that her home was broken into. She came home to find her back slider was smashed with a rock and her dog was missing.

Wednesday, May 9

  • At 9:45 a.m., a caller reported that she and her dog were attacked by a coyote on Strout Avenue. They were able to get away and neither of them were injured.
  • At 1:45 p.m., a Grove Street resident reported that items were missing from her home. Police are investigating.
  • At 5:17 p.m., a caller reported that his Facebook account was hacked and that explicit pictures were posted. The caller knew who hacked the account and the parents of both parties were told what happened.
  • At 9:08 p.m., a Main Street resident reported an unwanted guest in his room. The guest agreed to stay out of the residents room.
