Vehicles Broken Into, Wrong Way Driver, and Possible Fire Reported

A sampling of calls handled by Reading Police Department in recent days.

The following information was compiled based on reports from the Reading Police Department and Woburn Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, October 19

  • At 2:43 a.m. the doors to a storage shed were found to be off the hinges and on the ground at Joshua Eaton Elementary School.
  • At 10:32 a.m. a fight in progress was located by police between a boyfriend and girlfriend on Dunbar Road.
  • At 4:39 p.m. an officer was advised of a possible fire in the woods on Birch Meadow Drive.
  • At 10:45 p.m. calls for a loud house party on Main Street came into police.
  • At 10:49 p.m. State Police reported a possible domestic incident in progress on Pearl Street. 

Sunday, October 20

  • At 7:37 a.m. a motor vehicle was reportedly broken into overnight on Lowell Street.
  • At 11:19 a.m. police received a call from Brook Street for a vehicle that was reportedly stolen out of the driveway overnight.
  • At 1:35 p.m. a resident on Summer Ave. reported to police that their vehicle was broken into during the night.
  • At 3:41 p.m. a vehicle was driving on the wrong side of the road heading north on Route 28.
