Wakefield Resident Arrested on Drug Charges

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the Reading Police Department from Monday through Thursday. The information is open to the public.

Arrests

At 1:18 a.m. Tuesday, as the result of a traffic stop on Main Street, Samantha L. Keegan, 21, of 1 Morgan Ave., Wakefield was arrested on charges of illegal possession of a class E substance.

Monday, July 29

  • At 2:31 a.m., a caller reported graffiti on a storage shed on Symonds Way.
  • At 7:02 a.m., a West Street resident reported that his wallet was taken from his vehicle overnight.
  • At 7:14 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Washington Street. No injuries were reported.

Tueday, July 30

  • At  3:33 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Walkers Brook Drive. No injuries were reported.
  • At 4:42 p.m., a Franklin Street resident reported that his house was egged overnight.
  • At 4:46 p.m., a Symonds Way resident reported that his car was entered overnight and multiple items were taken.

Wednesday, July 31

  • At  8:55 a.m., a Pearl Street resident reported that firewood was stolen from his backyard.
  • At 4:40 p.m., a Lewis Street resident reported that her car was stolen, but it was later recovered.
  • At 7:01 p.m., a Minot Street resident reported that $414 was missing from his rental car.

Thursday, August 1

  • At 11:37 a.m., a caller reported finding several needles on Main Street. Police disposed of the needles.
  • At 5:04 p.m., a male found stumbling across Haven Street was placed into protective custody.
