Youths Reported Shooting Air Pistol on Warren Ave.

A sampling of calls handled by Reading Police Department in recent days.

The following information was compiled based on reports from the Reading Police Department and Woburn Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, October 22

  • At 2:53 p.m. a Warren Ave. resident reported that youths in the area were shooting off an air pistol.
  • At 3:34 p.m. a woman was being chased by a black and white dog.
  • At 4:42 p.m. a possibly sick coyote was in the back yard of a Summer Ave. home.
  • At 5:23 p.m. a suspicious male was in the area of Pearl Street.
  • At 7:32 p.m. a woman reported that her motor vehicle was struck while she was shopping inside Stop and Shop.

Wednesday, October 23

  • At 1:49 a.m. new graffiti was located on a parking sign at Birch Meadow Elementary School.
  • At 7:56 a.m. a loose dog was brought into the Police Station lobby.
  • At 9:33 a.m. the turf sweeper at Laurel Hill Cemetery Was on fire.
  • At 2:04 p.m. a minor motor vehicle crash was reported on Main Street with vehicles sideswiped.
  • At 5:37 p.m. the Fire Department was called to Haven Street for a strong odor of gas on the fourth floor of a building.
  • At 11:04 p.m. a man reported damage to his motor vehicle after he previously struck a deer.
