Construction Company Fined for Reading Violations

Twin Pines Construction allegedly violated several standards of safety protocol.

The Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration dished out $336,200 in fines to a construction company for violations at two constructions sites, one at 1 Jacob Way in Reading.

According to the Boston Globe, a Twin Pines Construction worker in Plymouth fell and suffered rib and leg injuries in March, prompting an inspection of the company's Reading work site.

Upon inspection in Reading, the OSHA found workers without fall protection while in a variety of compromising positions where they were exposed to potential falls of 10-20 feet, according to the newspaper. The Reading violations alone accounted for $140,000 in fines.
