Electronic Billboards Kept at Bay, For Now

The CPDC held a public hearing last week to share their plans regarding the zoning amendment to prohibit off-premises signs in town, according to the Chronicle. This includes prohibiting electronic billboards. The language for the warrant article was approved, the Chronicle said.

A final decision will not be made until Town Meeting in November, according to the Chronicle. The Attorney General will also have to approve.

Residents were happy about the change, and did not want to see electronic or animated billboards or signs in town, the Chronicle said. Existing billboards will not be affected by the zoning amendment.
