Former Reading Assistant Principal Hired to Lead School in Hamilton

Christopher Heath will be the next principal at Winthrop Elementary School in Hamilton, starting Aug. 20.

Christopher Heath, former assistant principal in Reading, has been named the next principal at .

He will start on Aug. 20, according to a letter announcing Heath's hire on Tuesday from Superintendent Michael Harvey.

“I believe that Chris’ experiences as the Principal of the and as an Assistant Principal at the have given him the practical experience in leading successful change that will allow him to be successful in leading the Winthrop Elementary School to new heights,” Harvey said in his letter.

Heath was one of two finalists to fill the job after to become principal at Mast Way Elementary School in Lee, N.H., .

The other finalist was Amy Pasquarello, the Integrated Media Specialist at Winthrop. Both candidates where Harvey solicited feedback before making the final decision last Friday. After Heath accepted the job he announced it on Tuesday.
