Our Owner’s Project Manger (OPM), PMA Consultants, has been working with our Construction Manager, Gilbane, in securing a moving company to relocate the middle school modular classrooms and relocate/install temporary utilities.  They have had multiple meetings with the teachers to pack up the modular class rooms and make the move go smoothly.

The move of the modular classrooms will happen immediately after the close of school on June 18.

Clearing of trees in the front of the middle school will occur to create a temporary parking lot and pick up/drop off area due to the loss of the parking area east of the middle school that is currently used. Clearing of the area behind the middle school, the field and tennis courts, will take place to allow set up of the trailers and parking for the Construction Manager and construction crew.

A gated temporary fencing and environmental protection will be set up around the construction site for safety. Installation of a temporary road that will allow deliveries to the back of the middle school during construction phase 1 should be complete by July.

The move back into the relocated modular classrooms and set up of the classrooms as well as signage and traffic controls in the front of the middle school will be complete on later than Aug. 15 (before the start of school).
