Before and After School Child Care Programs in North Reading

Did you know that the school district offered before and after school child care programs?

The North Reading School District offers before and after school child care programs at all of the elementary schools in town. When school is in session, the before school program begins at 7:30 a.m. and the after school program begins when school is dismissed, according to the school district website.

Before School

The program starts at 7:30 and goes until 8:20 a.m. at the Batchelder School. It starts at 7:30 and continues until 8:45 a.m. at the Hood School and Little School. The children are released to their classrooms 10 minutes before school starts.

There are activities available for students to do during this time. Children are cared for by school personnel, primarily paraprofessionals, according to the school district website.

The cost is $70 per month for full time students. If your child only needs part time care, contact the district office for the price. Parents are asked to drop off a check on the first day of each month. Leave your check with the child's care provider or mail it to the business office at the middle school.

After School

The school district partners with the YMCA to offer the after school program. Click here for an enrollment form.
