RMHS Students Thriving in New Engineering Courses

Read more about the changes in the Reading Memorial High School student newspaper's blog post.

Reading Memorial High School students are enrolled in new courses during the second year of implementing expanding learning about engineering, according to a Patch blog by the The Orbit of RMHS.

The new courses were created as a part of Project Lead the Way, and this year the department is running seven sections in a variety of courses, writes senior Linus Teutsch.

“If you look at where science education is going there is a big push to have more applied sciences,” said science teacher Mary Anne Lynn. “And engineering takes all of the theory that you are learning in classes like chemistry, physics, and biology, and allows you to apply it to the real world.  So I do think it will be a long-term curriculum at the high school.”
