Hal Croft, Reading's school committee chairman, said that June 2 would be his last meeting, reported the Daily Times Chronicle.
For four years, Croft served on the committee and has logged in 43 in Reading education. He said he would continue to support the proposed Early Childhood Learning Center. Croft also announced that he would also step down as the boys track coach.
