Busy Week Ahead for Rocket Teams

Reading High School teams face a variety of foes this week.

It'll be a busy week for Reading High School sports teams with all local squads in action culminating with the state championship hopeful football team hitting the gridiron on Friday night to open its season.

Below is a list of the games scheduled for this week, courtesy of USA Today High School Sports.

Monday, Sept. 16

  • Girls varsity soccer hosts Belmont High School at 3:45 p.m.
  • Boys varsity soccer travels to Belmont High School at 6 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 17
  • Girls varsity field hockey travels to Belmont High School at 3:30 p.m.
  • Boys varsity golf hits the links at Arlington High School at 3:30 p.m.
  • Boys and girls varsity cross country run at Belmont High School at 3:45 p.m.
  • Girls varsity volleyball hosts a home match at 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 18
  • Boys varsity golf plays at Meadowbrook Golf Club at 3:45 p.m.
  • Girls varsity volleyball plays a home match at 4 p.m. in the Field House
Thursday, Sept. 19
  • Boys varsity golf plays at Watertown High School at 3:30 p.m.
  • Girls varsity soccer hosts Lexington High School at 3:45 p.m.
  • Boys varsity soccer travels to Lexington High School at 3:45 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 20
  • Girls varsity field hockey travels to Lexington High School at 3:30 p.m.
  • Girls varsity swimming travels to Chelmsford High School at 3:30 p.m.
  • Girls varsity volleyball plays a road match at 4 p.m. versus Belmont High School
  • Boys varsity football travels to Dracut for a 7 p.m. kick off
Saturday, Sept. 21
  • Boys varsity soccer travels to Burlington High School at 2 p.m.
  • Girls varsity swimming competes at 6 p.m. inside Burbank YMCA
