The regular season wraps up with a slow week of Reading sports before the postseason gets into full swing next week.
On Monday, the girls basketball team looks for another Comcast IAABO Board 27 Classic title. The Lady Rockets thumped Natick, 64-40, behind 30 points from standout Olivia Healy.
As a result, Reading will play at 2:30 p.m. on the hardwood of Babson College in their final tune up before the playoffs tip off.
The only other varsity team scheduled to play regular season action this week is the boys hockey team, which is all but solidified a berth in the Super 8 tournament. Puck drops at 4 p.m. in the team's final tilt of the season, with the game taking place inside Arlington's Ed Burns Arena.
The girls JV hockey team plays at 11 a.m. Monday and 3 p.m. Wednesday at home while the boys JV team travels to Wilmington on Monday at 2:30 p.m.
Reading's wrestling team, meanwhile, will have nine wrestlers participating in the state championship meet after the Rockets tied their best best sectional finish in school history when they came in third place over the weekend.
Among the wrestlers with high hopes at the state level is Nick Mackyris, who won his sectional tournament and is ranked third in the state in his weight class.
