A Reading basketball coach and players joined former Boston Celtics player Walter McCarty at the Celtics Cowens Camps at the Boston Celtics Training Facility at Healthpoint, according to a recent release.
McCarty played over seven seasons for the Celtics and was a guest lecturer and instructor at the camp. Jim Bakeman, a native of Stoneham and basketball coach at Austin Preparatory School was present at the camp along with some of his players.
