Winchester, Melrose Among Rockets' Upcoming Foes

As is the case throughout the fall months, Reading High School sports teams have a busy schedule in the upcoming days.

Below is a look at this week's scheduled games, courtesy of USA Today High School Sports:

Monday, Oct. 7

• The girls field hockey team plays in a home game beginning at 3:30 p.m.
• The girls volleyball team travels to Watertown High School for a 4 p.m. contest.
• At 6 p.m., the boys soccer team takes to the pitch against Melrose High School.

• Melrose travels to Reading at 3:30 p.m. for a field hockey contest.
• The girls and boys cross country teams run in Winchester at 3:45 p.m.
• The girls soccer team is on the road against Melrose at 6:15 p.m.

• At 4 p.m. the girls volleyball hosts a home tilt in the Reading High School field house.

• The boys golf team plays at 3:45 p.m. at Meadow Brook Country Club.
• Reading's boys soccer team takes on Stoneham beginning at 3:45 p.m.
• The Lady Rockets, meanwhile, host Stoneham at 3:45 p.m.
• The girls swimming team takes to the pool in Lexington at 5:30 p.m.

• At 3:30 p.m., the field hockey team travels to Stoneham High School.
• The girls volleyball team travels to Stoneham at 4 p.m.

• In a second straight week of playing a Saturday contest, the Reading football team plays in Lexington at 1 p.m.
• The girls swimming team takes to the road in Winchester at 6 p.m.
