Christmas Church Services Scheduled Throughout Reading

If you are looking for a Christmas Eve church service, there are several options in town.

On Wednesday morning, families around Reading will be surrounded by friends and family as they open the presents that have been left beneath their Christmas trees. But on Tuesday night, many residents will look to spend their Christmas Eve celebrating in a different way.

Residents will flock to churches around Reading on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning for Christmas masses, and for those looking to do so there are several options in town.

St. Agnes Parish offers the largest Christmas mass in town. The church holds a 4 p.m. Christmas Eve mass inside the Reading Memorial High School field house. That is in addition to a service at 7 p.m. in the Upper Church, an 8:30 p.m. Lifestream concert in the Upper CHurch and a 9 p.m. mass inside the Upper Church.

On Christmas morning, St. Agnes offers mass at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., both inside the Upper Church.

Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading offers a "sacred evening of story, carols, and hope renewed" during masses at 5:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Residents are asked to bring non-perishable food items to the 5:30 p.m. service to be donated to the Reading Food Pantry.

Also on Christmas Eve, First Baptist Church holds a candlelight service at both 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

These are just a few of the services scheduled for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in Reading. Would you like to add your own church's schedule for Christmas? You can add it to our events page, or let us know in the comments section below.

From all of us at Reading Patch, we wish you and your family a Merry Christmas!
