Now that the weekend is over, get ready for the week with our Monday Essentials. Here are some events planned this week:

Cyber Monday: Black Friday is in the books, but you can still get plenty of good deals if you're Internet savvy. Start your week by clicking for the best deals during Cyber Monday, which allows for residents to do their holiday shopping without leaving the warmth of their home or office.

Blood Drive: The American Red Cross hosts a blood drive on Thursday from 1:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Saint Athanasius Church, located at 300 Haverhill Street. Make an appointment by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS or by visiting www.redcrossblood.org.

Festival of Trees: Parker Middle School hosts the Festival of Trees on Saturday and Sunday, sponsored by the Reading Education Foundation. The event features more than 70 unique trees and residents can also enjoy other activities throughout the two-day festival. Tickets are $5 for individuals and $10 for families.
