Learn Piano in One Night With Class at RMHS

What are your plans for the upcoming days in Reading?

Now that the weekend is over, get ready for the week with our Monday Essentials. Here are some events planned this week:

Lunch n' Learn: The Reading Fire Department invites residents to celebrate Fire Prevention Month by coming to the Senior Center and taking part in Lunch n' Learn as Lt. Paul Jackson discusses preparing for emergency situation. Lunch includes chicken with sauce or a turkey sandwich, with lunch being served Tuesday at noon.

Oktoberfest: Also at the Reading Senior Center is a traditional Oktoberfest lunch on Wednesday at 12 p.m. There will be German cuisine with German and Bavarian festive polka songs played by OOMPAH Band.

One Night Piano Lesson: Register through Reading Community Education or call (781) 944-5800 to sign up for a three-hour, one night piano class at Reading High School in the state-of-the-art piano lab. Each participant for the course, which is Thursday at 6:30 p.m., will take home a book and CD as well.

Board of Selectmen: The Reading Board of Selectmen will touch on a variety of topics on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. inside Town Hall as members hold their regular meeting.
