Monday Essentials: Meetings and First Friday Night Lights

Now that the weekend is over, get ready for the week with our Monday Essentials. Here are some events planned this week:

Library Events for Kids: There are a variety of youth events happening at Reading Public Library this week. Thursday is Pajama Storytime at 6:30 p.m., Friday is Infant Toddler Singalong at 10:15 a.m. and Saturday is Jumping Bean Toddler Storytime beginning at 10 a.m.

Meetings on the Docket: Tuesday is the busiest day for Reading boards with four sessions schedule for the day. Those meetings include the Board of Cemetery Trustees, Board of Library Trustees, Community Planning and Development Commission and Volunteer Appointment Subcommittee.

Friday Night Football: After a lengthy wait, it's finally time for Reading High School football season once again. The Rockets enter the season with high expectations, hoping to earn a state championship victory. Friday night they begin that quest with a road tilt against Dracut at 7 p.m.
