New Year's Festivities and the Rockets Kick Off 2014 This Week

Now that the weekend is over, get ready for the week with our Monday Essentials. Here are some events planned this week:

New Year's at Fenway: Speaking of New Year's Eve, if you're looking for something to do without having to go too far, you can head to Fenway Park for the first ever New Year's Eve celebration at one of America's most famous sporting venues. Fans can purchase tickets for $40 and while inside the park they can ice skate, sled and much more from 5-10 p.m.

Rockets in Action: Several Reading Memorial High School sports teams are busy over the upcoming days. The boys win team has a Thursday meet at 3:30 p.m., the girls gymnastics team is also in action on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. and the wrestling team hits the mats at 7 p.m. On Friday, the boys and girls basketball teams are slated to take on Belmont.
