Selectmen, Domestic Violence Awareness and Home Football

Here are three events scheduled for the week in Reading.

Now that the weekend is over, get ready for the week with our Monday Essentials. Here are some events planned this week:

Meetings: Several boards hold meetings throughout this week in Reading, beginning with the Community Planning and Development Commission on Monday at 7:30 p.m. In addition, the Board of Selectmen meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m. 

Violence Awareness: The Pleasant Street Center holds a domestic violence awareness breakfast on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Tiffany Melendez, Director of Programs and Services at RESPOND Inc., will discuss the different types of abuse that occur most often among seniors and their families. 

Home Football: After three straight road tilts, the Reading High School football team returns home for the final of two currently scheduled home games on Friday night. The Rockets host Woburn, which has jumped out to a stellar start to the season, at 7 p.m. under the lights of Reading's home field.
