Selectmen Meeting, Turkey Bowl, and Black Friday Buffet

Now that the weekend is over, get ready for the week with our Monday Essentials. Here are some events planned this week:

Board of Selectmen: Reading selectmen will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday at 7 p.m. inside Town Hall. Among the agenda items for the meeting are liquor license approvals, the final design for Washington Park and Memorial Park's lighting.

Turkey Bowl: The postseason is over for the Reading High School football team, but there's still a big game on the horizon. The Rockets host Stoneham at 10 a.m. on Thursday in their annual Thanksgiving Day contest.

Black Friday Breakfast: If residents are looking to fuel up before Black Friday shopping, they can head to the Pleasant Street Center first for a Black Friday Breakfast Buffet. There will be muffins, oatmeal, smoothies, coffee and tea at the buffet, which begins at 10 a.m.
