Festival of Trees, Holiday Concert Scheduled This Weekend in Reading

There are a variety of events happening this weekend in Reading, and here are a few of them to help you plan your time off.

The weekend is here and there are plenty of things to do in Reading and the surrounding area in the upcoming days.

Festival of Trees: Residents can walk through a winter wonderland of decorated holiday trees, which have been donated by local groups including families, organizations and businesses. The Reading Education Foundation sponsors the Festival of Trees event, which runs on Saturday from 12-6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Parker Middle School.

Holiday Concert: The Reading Community Singers present Holiday Hits, a concert that will take place on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. inside Old South United Methodist Church. Tickets cost $18 and can be purchased by calling (781) 249-3444.

Kids n' Canines: Just over the border in North Reading, Bark n' Roll's School of Rock holds a class on Saturday at 10 a.m. that will discuss child safety and management within the home and community when it comes to family dogs. The cost is $40 per couple at the Main Street business.
