Holiday Light Festival, Family Photo Event This Weekend

There are a variety of events happening this weekend in Reading, and here are a few of them to help you plan your time off.

The weekend is here and there are plenty of things to do in Reading and the surrounding area in the upcoming days.

Photo Session: Understanding Disabilities is joining studio photographer Al Pereira of Advanced Photo for family photo sessions at Wood End Elementary School. The event takes place on Saturday at 9 a.m. and helps residents save money while freeing up time and helping Understanding Disabilities. Visit www.understandingdisabilities.org for registration.

Holiday Light Festival: Reading's annual tree lighting ceremony and festivities are scheduled for Sunday from 2-4:30 p.m. throughout the downtown area, including Haven Street, Lowell Street, Main Street and Reading Common. Santa will be in the house and there is a long list of activities for the whole family.
