Rockets Take the Field and Reading Fair Hits the Streets

Here's a look at some exciting events happening in the coming days in Reading and beyond.

Rockets Regular SeasonIt's the first weekend of regular season games for Reading High School, and Saturday is a busy one. The girls soccer team hosts Wilmington at 10 a.m. while the boys soccer team travels to play the Wildcats at 10 a.m. on the pitch of North Intermediate School in Wilmington. The field hockey team will also play at 10 a.m. on the new turf of Wilmington High School. There are several JV games on the day as well, so check out Reading's USA Today High School Sports page for details.

Street Faire Sunday:
It's that time of year again. The Reading Fall Street Faire takes place on Sunday from 12-5 p.m., featuring a wide variety of foods, vendors, games, and entertainment for residents of all ages. Check out our full preview of the event for more details.

Are You Ready for Some Football?:
If you're looking for a great place to watch the first weekend of the National Football League regular season, you may want to head to Woburn's Scoreboard Bar & Grill. The bar features 40 HD televisions and will offer free wings at halftime of the Patriots game. But it's not the only place in the Reading area to watch football this weekend. Brides at FenwayIf you're getting married in the near future, you may want to head to Fenway Park on Sunday at 10 a.m. The fifth annual Fenway Park Bridal Festival will include countless exhibitors and vendors, and you can also take a tour of the historic ballpark while you're there.
