Walks, Science, Plays: Stuff to Do in Reading This Weekend

No need to leave town this weekend; Reading's got it all.

Walk this way: The Board of Selectmen has declared May 31 through June 1 as Walk Reading Weekend. Anytime over the weekend, all the citizens of Reading are invited to take a walk, bike, hike or run to explore your town.  The event is jointly sponsored by the Reading Trails Committee, Walkable Reading and Reading Open Land Trust. Here's how you take part.

A deal, and maybe a steal: The Old South United Methodist Church is hosting a huge yard sale with tons of tables. Everything from jewelry to furniture to kids items is available, and funds benefit the church.

It blinded you with science .. science! The Coolidge School is hosting a big, and free, family science fair on Saturday.

The story of a street-savvy con artist: The Quannapowitt Players of Reading continue its last weekend run of the quirky, humorous psychological crime story "Criminal Hearts," by Jane Martin.
