YMCA Open House, Swim Meet and Musical Auditions This Weekend

There are a variety of events happening this weekend in Reading, and here are a few of them to help you plan your time off.

Reading and the surrounding area is full of things to do this weekend. Here is a look at some of those events.

Open House: Burbank YMCA holds an open house on Saturday at 7 a.m. as residents are encouraged to bring a friend to enjoy group exercise classes and visit the "Ask the Trainer" table. There will also be an all-day cycle-thon during which staff members will take turns on a bicycle throughout the YMCA's operating hours.

Young Frankenstein: Colonial Chorus Players are holding auditions for Young Frankenstein the Musical on Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. The play, for which participants must be at least 16 years old to audition for, will run June 27 through June 29 inside Reading Memorial High School. Auditions will take place at The Old Hose House at 1249 Main Street.

Swim Meet: Reading Memorial High School holds a co-ed swim meet versus North Kingstown on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Rockets track team is also in action this weekend, competing against Arlington at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
