First Congregational Church of Reading was established in 1645 in what is today Wakefield, and was the commonwealth's 12th church. The church has since been located in multiple locations. The current church was built in 1910.
The church's outreach ministry helps local organizations and people in need through volunteering and donations. The church also offers a number of social groups, including a coffee hour and a congregational women's fellowship.
Rev. Lisa Stedman is the church's pastor.
