A horse and carriage ride in a park, fine. But not on busy, crowded city streets. It's cruel to theRead More horse and dangerous to everyone else. I'm with the NYC mayor on this one.

There is always a reason for a price-increase - I can't remember ever reading about a reason for aRead More price-decrease. It's possible no one else has noticed this. Isn't capitalism wonderful?

Natick news - Nebraska news -- well at least they both start with the letter N. I said this before IRead More think everyone should not open any article on their local Patch unless they see the name of their community in it. They are trying to trick up with news. We see a headline and think - in my case - Natick - and it is not. NO NAME - NO CLICK! I think if the click rate goes down for Patch, it will hurt them advertising wise and then maybe they will listen to us that we want LOCAL NEWS! Who wants to join me in my NO NAME No CLICK campaign?

strange how we respond just as the terrorists desire us to. the media commemorates each incident asRead More if it were a new profit center to mine for every last click. whole populations now sit in fear of another 'something' about to happen, never again, fully safe like we were in the good old days of the cold war? once these bstrds hit us deep inside our own turf we have not become stronger, but rather 'hardened', emboldened in our delusions of ultimate superiority, no longer safe on our 'island of north america'. each of these events changes us all even imperceptably, forcing us to accept their motives, their ideals, their imam imposed concept of living. we act in unison, determined to show them we are not affected, yet that very demonstration reveals our inner need to respond, to re-affirm our own injury, each of those crowd-felt sympathies we all cling to, even if for the brief moment of our 'crowd'. be strong, and further, be alert, be conspicuous in manner in which you care for each other. shy not away from those who seek your death, but do not embrace them, as they fein no challenge to seek close to your demise.

The police in Boston are terribly stupid. They are dumber than most cops and that would make themRead More total morons. Matthew April 16, 2014 at 11:43 am
No he did it because that useless trash magazine Rolling Stone tried to portray that scumbag kid asRead More a victim and a hero of some sorts. He wanted all to see the real scum that this piece of s*** communist puke really is. I applaude his choice to publish the pictures. Displinary action? Maybe? But a forced retirement over that situation? Absolutely not. Mass. State Police should be ashamed of themselves.

@DennisN......LOL! You made my day! Everything I said was 100% True. For some reason the People ofRead More Mass will vote Democrat even if its not a Good choice. They did surprise me with some Republican Governors though. 1972 Mass goes for McGovern. Only State in the Union. Nixon paid us back by closing several bases. I'm sure your a big Obama fan as well. I promise you he will go down in history as the worst President in Modern times and maybe even All Time. Mass will always be home for me Dennis, sorry. We will just have to agree to disagree. I can do that. I don't think you can. By reading your post to me and others I can tell your pretty impressed with yourself. I'm not. How do you think Mary Jo Kopecknys family felt when Mass kept electing the guy who killed their daughter. 6 hours of missing time Teddy couldn't explain. Or how about the families of those underage boys felt when Men in their 50s were having sex with their kid? Not a day in jail. Then, Barney and Gerry kept getting reelected. Its not up to the US Government to control every aspect of our life Dennis. Obama, Holder, Pelosi, Harry Reid are all criminals hiding the truth from the American People. Agree To Disagree if you want but sometimes the truth hurts. PS I am not a Republican either

I know there are a lot of people in this county that believe Ronnie Regan was a really greatRead More president. I for one do not believe that. I believe he began the start of this country being sold to and then made into a Corporation which is owned and run by the 2% wall street unrealistic, filthy rich, sub humans. He began this process and the Bush's continued and completed it. And though there are those that hate Obama. He is ineffectual as a president because he came into office not knowing what to do to actually stop what had been set in motion to happen. Had Hilary been elected into Office she would have stopped what was happening. Because she was there when her husband was President and she knew what was going on. She would have known what action to take to either stop or at least slow the process of the sale of this county. But it has happened. And Obama was a wonderful puppet voted into office. He has served his purpose well. The County is now a Corporation. And the next time Wall Street falls this country will be forced into the One World Financial Market of the EURO!!! Mark my words it is the way of all Corporations. My motto is this: It is NEVER a BAD day for a REVOLUTION!!!! So people STOP hitting the SNOOZE button and WTF up!!!!!
Genius Species April 17, 2014 at 11:52 am
Um Aileen I hate to break it to you but the Clinton's ARE the 2% you speak of. Should Hillary haveRead More become president I'm sure her response would have been along the lines of, "what difference does it make"?
Aileen Dodge April 17, 2014 at 12:17 pm
The Clinton's wish they were as rich as the 2% I speak of. And Hillary is very Ego driven. And IRead More would have been willing to bet that with her Ego she would have gone against the Old Boy network. That Network that constantly tried to shut her up when her husband was president!! Her Ego alone would have made a huge difference!!!!

Of course they are in a dead heat.... they are effectively the same person.
Andrew Denaro April 16, 2014 at 09:13 am
Not even close Keith. While I can't say I full support everything Tisei says and he still is aRead More politician after all... but comparing him to John Tierney is just ludicrous. Tisei wasn't involved in corruption and illegal activities as far as I know... and he certainly doesn't crap all over the U.S. Constitution to the degree Tierney does. I don't know if Tisei would have my vote or not yet, but John Tierney should be in prison.
Cool Fusion April 16, 2014 at 01:15 pm
Attention. Clean up on aisle 5. As usual, the agenda driven League of women voters will moderate aRead More debate with pre-scripted questions posed by left-leaning newspaper opinion writers that will insure that Tierney will never get an inquiry of substance nor a question dealing with character or office performance. Tisei on the other hand will be pilloried with undertones of innuendo and aspersions of starving the children, defunding education, conducting a war on women, and being a stooge of the Koch brothers. It has worked for every election cycle. Republicans never learn.

Mike- there is no hate here. actually a pathetic situation when one feels he is "owed"Read More something rather than earning it by working for it. Why not move down to the inner city and live there for 6 months, then get back to us!! it should be a real eye opener for you!! I work 6-7 days a week to enjoy what I have, even though i have little time to do so, I'm not complaining, but it bothers me that i am penalized by the way of extra taxes, fee's , etc., to help those who have no intention of trying to help themselves.. I have TWO children, NOT 5, 6, or 7 simply because I cannot afford it, and would NOT EXPECT the government to take care of them for me!!!

Here's the story I posted this morning and was censored by PATCH Pistol Turned to ‘SubmachineRead More Gun’ By Clueless Media April 15, 2014 | Filed under Constitutional Issues, corruption,Culture,Culture Of Corruption,Democrats,Dumb Criminals,Gun control,Liberals,Media | Posted by Warner Todd Huston Once again we get proof of how mindless and clueless the media is, how they don’t fact check, but just mindlessly pass on each other’s bad work ad infinitum. This time it happened with a story about a criminal who used a .22 caliber pistol in a crime but one clueless reporter turned it into a “submachine gun” and hundreds of his mindless colleagues followed suit passing the lie on and on and on. Clueless reporter Darryl Holliday of DNAinfo Chicago, a website that caters to local news, reported on an incident that was perpetrated by a man from West Garfield Park who began wielding a .22 caliber pistol in a grocery store because he didn’t want to pay the 22 cents tax on a bottle of pop he was trying to buy. Holliday “reported” that the crook “pulled an Intratec submachine gun out of a Gucci satchel,” and in the next paragraph again claimed the piece was a “submachine gun” saying, “Officers arrived on the scene shortly after to find Shelton’s Gucci bag open on the counter as well as 15 bullets in the blue steel .22-caliber submachine gun–eight live rounds in one magazine, five in another and one in the chamber, according to court documents.” Of course, it is clear that reporter Holliday doesn’t have any idea what he’s rambling on about. The .22 caliber Intratec pistol is not a “submachine gun. It is a semi-automatic pistol like every other semi-auto pistol. A submachine gun is an automatic rifle that uses pistol cartridges instead of larger ones such as rifle or armor piercing cartridges. A one-hand-held version of this weapon is called a “machine pistol,” but it is also fully automatic. The Intratec pistol used in this crime is not a fully automatic weapon, however. It is semi-auto-meaning it fires only once when the trigger is pulled. It does not expel a stream of bullets like a fully automatic weapon does. Yet, as soon as this story went live on April 13, dozens of other so-called news outlets took up the claim that this dolt used a “submachine gun” in his crime. All one need do is put “Nahshon Shelton submachine gun” in any search engine and dozens of so-called news stories will be revealed saying that the criminal used a “submachine gun.” It all just shows that whenever you see a report on guns in the Old Media establishment, you should not trust it. They don’t even know the proper definitions of firearms terms and from there all their “facts” are suspect.

This was out in my neck of the woods. All really great kids, college bound and starting their adultRead More lives. Having lost a child, I can say these families will mourn for as long as they live, and will have to find a "new normal" as EVERYTHING is changed for them now...I wish them strength, there is nothing quite like burying a child. Appreciated are the messages of respect and sympathy. It can be annoying to get news from areas other than your own, however the new Patch is doing things differently, and show no evidence of changing it back.....my best advice would be to ignore stories not in your area, and to write your editor directly, and share your comments with those who can make changes.
