The North Shore Skating Club has been providing ice skating lessons and training for North Shore residents of all…More ages since 1948. It is currently housed in the Burbank Ice Arena in Reading. It also uses the Hockeytown arena in Saugus. Freestyle skating open times are hosted seven days a week. Club members and non-members are both welcome to sign up for open skate.
The North Shore Skating Club has both senior and junior skating clubs. Both groups are trained and prepared for skate competitions. The Senior Club represents the club in competitions. The club is affiliated with the U.S. Figure Skating Organization. The instructors are experienced and professional figure skaters and they will encourage students to reach full potential. It has an annual awards ceremony recognizing skating members who exemplify certain criteria. All members perform in the annual Ice Spectacular expose.

Classes are open to all ages and experience. Student's advancements to advanced courses are determined by their development. For those wishing to participate more than regular classes, workshops, competitions and summer programs are also offered.
At the end of every year, students participate in a exposition recital. The La Pierre School of Dance also performs at the Reading Fall Street Faire.

PlayGym is an interactive class for ages 1-3 with guardians (grandparents welcome!). Jr. Gymnast classes are pre-training classes for ages 3-5. Gymnast programs run nine to thirty-six weeks for ages 5-18 and have a 1:8 student-teacher ratio. The small ratio permits more one-on-one focus for maximum development. They also offer Boys Power Tumbling classes for ages 5-18. For the more accomplished gymnast, instructors choose the Gymnastic Team members for USA Gymnastic competitions.
