Starbucks is known for the variety of hot coffee and espresso drinks brewed from fresh ground, fairly traded coffeeMore beans. They do have a static menu, but always have a flavor of the day or a seasonal selection. Besides hot beverages, Starbucks creates frappuchinos, other cold and blended beverages and hot tea. Soy milk is available for all drinks.

Customers can purchase pre-bagged fresh whole or ground beans. There is a small retail selection consisting of mugs, cups, small brew pots, fine candies and easy-listening CDs.

LaPierre School of Dance

In the basement of Longwood Place there is a dance school that has maintained popularity in Reading for decades. TheMore La Pierre School of Dance was founded with the mission of teaching children the pleasure and art of ballet. Today ballet is just one dance style taught at LaPierre. 

Classes are open to all ages and experience. Student's advancements to advanced courses are determined by their development. For those wishing to participate more than regular classes, workshops, competitions and summer programs are also offered.

At the end of every year, students participate in a exposition recital. The La Pierre School of Dance also performs at the Reading Fall Street Faire.

The Colonial Chorus

The Colonial Chorus Players are a nonprofit community theater group that has been around since 1962. The organizationMore is run completely by volunteers, and is always looking for people who are interested in all aspects of theater. Even those interested in helping with concession and ticket sales are encouraged to contact Colonial Chorus.

The group's past performances include classic productions such as Nunsense, My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof, Joseph and the Technical Dreamcoat and Oklahoma. ShowKidz members have performed in acts like the Jungle Book, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Through the Looking Glass and many more popular children's musicals.

There are frequently held workshops with focuses on acting and dancing. Colonial also offers an annual summer children's theater workshop called ShowKidz for youth ages 8-13. The group also performs for fund-raisers and charity events.
