A tractor-trailer accident closed both sides of Route 62.
A tractor-trailer jackknifed on Route 62 by Winthrop Road in North Reading around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. According to North Reading Police, no injuries were reported. A request was made to the Massachusetts State Police Truck Team to assist the North Reading Police Department. There was heavy damage to the guardrail near the accident. Coady’s towing responded to tow the tractor-trailer. The operator of the tractor-trailer will be cited for speeding greater than reasonable, North Reading Police said.
