Sylvester is no Stallone, but is he waiting for you at PAWS.
My name is Sylvester, but my last name is Reed, not Stallone. While I think I have the charisma of a movie star, I would rather be the lead in a romantic comedy, not a bang ‘em up fighter flick like Rambo or Rocky. I have the green eyes of a leading man, so while I admit I look tough, at heart I am a lover, not a fighter. Actually, that is an understatement. I am a four-year-old fuzzy cuddle guy who wants nothing more than to be with you. I Go By Lincoln... or Mr. Snuggles.
So you know my name. But do you know how smart I am? I decided life on the street was not for me… too cold, too hungry, too lonely. So I found my way to this house and hung around acting friendly until, unable to resist my charms, the resident PAWS volunteer saw me and took me inside. It was February 12, Lincoln’s birthday, which I have now dubbed my “new-birth day.” It’s also the day they started calling me Lincoln. Ah, I do like PAWS. Bella D loves humans and warm laps.
Bella D is my name and affection is my game. At three years old, I am just getting started. I am a girl who knows what she wants, and what I want is to sit on your lap while you pet me. If you ignore me, I will let you know with my very loud meow. I don’t talk a lot. But when I do, I make myself understood. I may sound pushy, but I am actually a very mellow feline. Nothing bothers me and I love everyone and everything. OK, I did not appreciate being in a cage during adoption hours, but then I did not mind the hyperactive dog that came over to see me. Gentille likes to chase the ball around the track.
My name is Gentille, which is French for nice, kind, lovely. I am all that and more. I am a petite (seven pounds), stunning girl. My white coat has some very special tiger markings and I have the most amazing tail known to feline kind: it is striped and beautiful. I know for a fact there is not a more beautiful or striking cat in the entire world. Despite my beauty, I am not looking for a life filled with high-society parties. Not at all. Penguin is waiting for you at PAWS.
Hello, my name is Penguin and I'm a lively, six-month-old kitten. My markings may remind my foster of a real penguin, but I much prefer a warm, snuggly place with you to an ice floe in Antarctica or a beach in the Galapagos. Actually, I was brought in from the cold outdoors when I was only 12 weeks old, so I do have outdoor experience and I can tell you now that I'm done with that. Life indoors on the warm and cozy side of the window pane is the life for me. Here on the inside, I find that toys are the most fun. Everyone loves me. I can tell that because they all say how cute and sweet I am. Some call me a doll, which frankly, is not so appropriate since I am a dog and a boy one at that. But they are right about me being special. Who wouldn’t love me? I am small in stature (the size of a very large cat) and big in heart. I just love meeting everyone because I adore people.
