Christmas Eve Arrest Made in North Reading Armed Robberies

Police allege that Peter Dolan twice robbed the Tedeschi's in North Reading while armed with a knife.

Police have arrested a 29-year-old Billerica man in connected with two recent armed robberies at Tedeschi's Convenience Store in North Reading. Peter Dolan also faces charges stemming from an attempted robbery at a convenience store in Chelmsford, according to a press release from the North Reading Police Department. North Reading Police Detectives along with Chelmsford Police Detectives arrested Dolan on Christmas Eve without incident. After his arrest, Dolan was held at Chelmsford Police Headquarters on Christmas Day and arraigned on the Chelmsford charges on Wednesday, Dec. 26, according to the press release. North Reading Tedeschi Robbed Again at Knifepoint

According to police, the same suspect involved in a November robbery may have been the man who held up the store early Sunday morning.

State and local police searched the area around Tedeschi's Food Store after an overnight robbery that officers believe may be linked to a previous incident at the store. North Reading police received a call that the store had been held up at knifepoint at about 12:15 a.m. on Sunday. The involved party fled on foot and was believed to have left the area in a green colored sedan, possibly a Honda, before cruisers arrived. According to public safety transmissions, the suspect displayed a knife with a green handle before he left toward the rear of the store. K-9 units were called in from State Police, but officers were unable to locate the party. Armed Robbery in Reading Thursday Night

The Gulf Station on Main Street was robbed at gunpoint.

According to WCVB.com, the Gulf Station on Main Street was robbed late Thursday night. No injuries were reported. The suspect was armed and believed to be the same person who recently robbed stores in Melrose, Stoneham and Woburn, WCVB.com said. State police assisted Reading Police to track the suspect, but no arrests have been made. Check in with us for updates.

UPDATED: Shell Station Robbed at Knifepoint; Mobil on West Street May Have Been First Target

Reading Police have released an image of a suspect wanted in connection with Sunday's Armed Robbery.

If at first you don’t succeed, try again. This appears to be the mantra of the man who robbed the Shell Gas Station on Walker’s Brook Road at knifepoint last night, as just 45 minutes earlier, it seems he may have tried unsuccessfully to hold up a Mobil on West Street at the Reading-Woburn town line. At 10:33 p.m., the suspect entered the Shell Station and displayed a black knife to the cashier, before taking the register drawer and leaving on foot, according to information in the Reading Police log. The thief got away with an unknown sum of money. The suspect in the Shell robbery fled on foot heading towards Wakefield along Walkers Brook Drive. Wakefield and Reading Police responded to the call, as did the State Police K-9 unit. P & S Convenient Store Robbed at Knifepoint

A male suspect made off with an unknown amount of cash after showing the cashier a knife.

The P & S Convenient Store on Lowell Street was robbed Friday night, by a man wearing a black ski mask and brandishing a black folding knife with a jagged edge. An unknown sum of money was taken and no one was hurt. At approximately 8:46 p.m., a male suspect, described as between 19 and 25 years old, with brown eyes, a stocky build and olive or tan complexion entered the store and showed the clerk the knife and demanded money, which was duly turned over in an unknown amount. The suspect then fled in a motor vehicle. Attempted Armed Robbery at North Shore Printing Thursday

A white male reportedly attempted to rob North Shore Printing at knifepoint.

At 4:30 p.m. on Thursday a white male attempted to rob North Shore Printing at knifepoint.  According to North Reading police, the manager of North Shore Printing reported that a white male, approximately 18-years-old with dark hair, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants showed a knife and demanded money. He did not get any money from the business, police said. A witness told police he saw a male matching the description run across the North Shore Printing parking lot and get into a silver vehicle, possible an Audi. The vehicle then fled toward Andover on Main Street. Approximately 30 minutes later, Silver Cleaners in North Andover was robbed at knifepoint.
