D’Amici’s Bakery Opening in M.F. Charles Building

D'Amici's Bakery will soon open in the M.F. Charles Building on Main Street. Owners and Wakefield residents Sarah and Joe Torretta are planning to apply for building permits in the next couple of weeks and hope to open the bakery early this summer. According to an update from the Community Services Office, the M.F. Charles Building, which is on the National Historic Register, will undergo major renovations to "return the building to its former glory." The building, built in 1893, will have four major tenants when the rennovations are complete: D'Amici's Bakery, Northern Bank & Trust Company, Bunratty’s Tavern and Orange Leaf.
