Car Crashes Into Walker Brook Drive Starbucks
Driver cited for operating to endanger in mid-morning crash.
9:22 a.m. on a Sunday is normally a time when the Starbucks on Walker Brook Drive in Reading is filled with customers enjoying their morning coffee and pastry. Given the timing, its remarkable that no one was injured when a car slammed through the side of the building, causing significant damage. According to a Reading Police spokesman, the driver was pulling into a parking space on the side of the building when he hit the accelerator instead of the brake. As a result, the car jumped the curb and crashed through the windows. The driver, whose name has not been released, was also uninjured but he has been cited for driving to endanger.
