Dear Editor, On Thursday, August 23rd, the Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce sponsored its first “Cash Mob” at The Chocolate Truffle in Reading. On this day, due to the overwhelming support of our Chamber members and the community, the owners of The Chocolate Truffle tripled their sales proving the event a real success! The goal of the Cash Mob was to provide continued support to our incredible Chamber members and to remind the public of the importance of buying local. This is not just a trendy saying; the effort to purchase products and services within our town does have an impact: For every $1 spent at a local business, 45 cents is reinvested locally.
