Here's your answer. Rumors about the Market Basket in Reading have been circulating around town. Residents heard that the grocery store is moving to Wakefield. However, Assistant Manager Mark Lambert said that they are not moving, and do not have any plans to move in the future. ”We're doing business as usual,” Lambert said. Operations Manager David McLean confirmed Lambert's answer and said that the store is staying put in Reading. "It's a rumor that has no basis," McLean said. In last week's POLL: Which Local Grocery Store Do You Prefer, Reading Patch Readers choose Market Basket two to one.

Last week, Patch asked our readers: which grocery store do you prefer, Stop and Shop or Market Basket? The results are in. By a two to one victory, readers picked Market Basket over Stop and Shop.
