The Apple Festival will take place Saturday, Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
You won't want to miss this year's Apple Festival on the grounds of the Rev. Daniel Putnam House, 27 Bow St., North Reading from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The 18th annual festival is sponsored by the Historical Society and will feature an apple pie contest, live entertainment, food and drink, children’s games, an art auction, vendors, pony rides and more. Proceeds will go to the Historical Society to help them maintain the Putnam House. "We enjoy it all the time, and having all the people there," Member of the Historical Society Virginia Mills said. The Apple Festival will have some new vendors this year including American Girl Doll clothing, new jewelry vendors and others. Also new this year, the Reading YMCA will be holding a Zumbathon …

The 17th Annual Apple Festival was held on Saturday at the Reverend Daniel Putnam House and Barn.
Residents ate apple pie and shopped for crafts at the 17th Annual Apple Festival held Saturday at the Reverend Daniel Putnam House and Barn. The festival boasted an apple pie contest, various entertainment, kids games, a variety of crafts, ice cream, candy and other refreshments.
