Patch readers want to know how many tickets were issued last year. Here's your answer. According to Reading Police, last year they gave out 4,432 tickets. North Reading Police gave out 322 tickets. David Sanchez is being charged with various crimes including breaking and entering in the daytime.
North Reading Police arrested a Chestnut Street man in connection to a series of residential break-ins. David Sanchez, 36, of 20 Chestnut St., was charged with breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, receiving stolen property over $250, wanton destruction of property over $250 and attempt to commit a crime (breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony). Police have been investigating the break-ins, which led to the arrest of Sanchez. According to police, the investigation of other unsolved house breaks are still ongoing.

Patch readers want to know where the money goes when a speeding ticket is paid. Here's your answer. When someone pays a fine for speeding and other moving violations, the money does not go to the town, it goes to the state. According to the Reading Police Department, the money goes back into the general fund for the state. A portion eventually gets back to Reading, but there is no specific amount. The money returns to the town as the state deems necessary. Specifically, all payments for citations are sent to the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles, according to North Reading Police. Wednesday, March 28 At 2:51 a.m., a Tower Hill Road resident called police after hearing noises in her yard that might have been an animal. Police were unable to locate a person or an animal in the yard. At 9:22 a.m., an employee at Hess called police after a person left without paying for $128 worth of gas. The person was contacted who said he paid by credit card, but the payment process didn’t go through. Friday, March 16 At 10:12 a.m., police summonsed a Methuen man to court for operating a motor vehicle after his license was suspended. Police initially responded to a call about a driver who lost lumber from his vehicle on Main Street. DAP (whoever you are you better not speed in the Library District) I'm sorry you got stopped for no reason besides being young. That kind of stop does nothing for road safety and probably caused you to dislike police. I forgot about the FBI incident. Maybe that was what rose is concerned with?
