Here are several ways you can make sure your sports teams are highlighted on Reading Patch this season.

Spring sports at Reading High School are set to begin the first week of April with many teams looking to build on their success in 2012. Around Reading, youth sports are also underway and we want to help share all the great moments and highlights from this spring with the community. We are looking for athletes, coaches, parents, booster club members and fans who are ready, willing and able to show their team spirit on Reading Patch. Rockets Get Revenge, Beat Redmen 42-6

Reading avenged last year's playoff loss to Tewksbury with a convincing win over the Redmen.

In a rematch of last year’s Division 2 Semifinal, the Rockets got their revenge over Tewksbury with a 42-6 dismantling of the Redmen at Reading High last night. “We definitely had revenge on our mind this year and we were clicking on all cylinders,” said Reading quarterback Drew Belcher, whose incredible night led the Rockets to a 12-0 record. Belcher completed nine passes for 126 yards and a touchdown, and rushed nine times for 105 yards and four touchdowns. “We worked all offseason to come back and make it to this game,” said receiver Ryan Maney. “They pretty much beat our butt last year,” said the Gronk-like pass catcher who hauled in five catches for 87 yards and had a 61 yard rushing touchdown. Boys' Soccer Bested by Woburn, 3-1

After taking an early 1-0 lead, the Rockets fell 3-1 to Woburn Saturday evening at the Kicks for Cancer event at Concord-Carlisle High School.

A mere 46 seconds after the opening whistle, midfielder Charlie McRae put the Reading High boys’ soccer team up 1-0 on Woburn Saturday evening at the Kicks for Cancer event at Concord-Carlisle High School. McRae, a senior captain, knocked the ball loose from Woburn goalkeeper Andrew Deane and then put it home, on a play the referees deemed legal, much to the dismay of Woburn coach Paul Sands, who believed Deane was interfered with.
