Hello neighbors! Welcome to Patch. As a contributing columnist, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Maryann Dickman, and I have lived in North Reading and raised children here for more than 20 years. My husband, Marty, has been a part-time van driver for Elder Services for the last five-plus years. As a native of Reading, Marty has known a number of North Reading residents from prior years of living and working in the area. Now he knows many of North Reading's seniors and family members through his present job and association with the Senior Center. Together, Marty and I have a blended family of eight grown children and 16 grandchildren, hence our continued forays into the employment ranks. Birthdays in our family come around fast …
