Knife-Wielding Masked Robber Hits Tedeschi's in North Reading

The robber took an undisclosed amount of cash from the store on Sunday night.

A masked robber wielding a knife took cash from the Tedeschi's Food Store at 202 North St. in North Reading on Sunday night, according to a press release from the North Reading Police Department. The robbery occured just before 11 p.m., according to the release. An undisclosed amount of money was taken by the robber, who was described as a tall man, approximately 6 feet tall with large frame and wide shoulders.  A K-9 from Billerica Police was called to the scene and assisted, police said in the release. No injuries were reported. The investigation remains open.

PHOTOS: Police Seek Man Who Robbed Mobil With Syringe

The Reading Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Mobil Mart located at the corner of Main Street and Summer Avenue on Saturday, Sept. 24 by the suspect in the two attached photos. He used a hypodermic needle to commit the robbery and got away with $260. He is believed to have fled on foot.
