Despite their best efforts, the Stoneham Spartans were soundly defeated by the Reading Rockets, 34-14, on Thursday's Thanksgiving Day Game.
It was a pleasant Thanksgiving morning as the Stoneham Spartans and Reading Rockets took the field for their 94th annual Thanksgiving Day Game. Chalk one more up for the Rockets as Reading got out early over Stoneham, and despite the Spartans push to score two touchdowns at the end of the third and into the fourth quarter, the Rockets held on to win, 34-14, giving the series a 62-24-8 record in favor of Reading.
