Owner of Venetian Moon OK'd for Liquor at New Italian Eatery

Scosso will seat 200 indoors and include a patio for outdoor dining.

Owner of Venetian Moon Ristorante Anthony Cavallo was in and out within 15 minutes and with the OK for a full liquor license from Peabody's Licensing Board last week. Cavallo is planning on opening an style Italian eatery similar to Venetian Moon at the Northshore Mall. He said he is planning for a mid-September opening. The new eatery, which will have a full bar, is called "Scosso" and will take over the vacant space left by Bertucci's when it closed in 2009. Cavallo said the restaurant will have seating for 200 inside over two levels, as Bertucci's did, plus 30 seats outdoors for seasonal dining. Owners of Venetian Moon to Open Restaurant in Peabody This Fall

A new Italian eatery, Scosso, will be coming to the Northshore Mall later this year, occupying the vacant space where Bertucci's used to be.

Italian dining is coming back to the Northshore Mall. The owners of Venetian Moon Ristorante will open a new eatery called "Scosso" in Peabody. The owners will appear before the Peabody Licensing Board Monday night for a public hearing on a full liquor license. Peabody attorney John Keilty, who is representing North Shore Food Group, LLC, says the Venetian Moon owners plan to offer a similar style of Italian dining with a martini bar at Scosso. Keilty said the owners and Simon Property Group have a lease agreement for the space vacated by Bertucci's in Peabody back in 2009. Keilty said there is a "significant build out needed" for the space, partly to allow the restaurant to operate independently of mall shopping hours. A new entranceway …
