The Last Corner Restaurant won this week’s Best of Patch Readers’ Choice award for the best place to get french fries. The Last Corner received 50 percent of the votes in our poll. Reading Patch readers spoke and said Di Cara's Deli on Main Street makes the best sandwiches in town.
In our inaugural "Best of Patch" contest Di Cara's Deli came in first for making the best sandwiches in town.. The deli received 71 votes or 29 percent of the votes cast in our unscientific poll. Patch user Lisa summed it up best when she wrote a review on the deli's directory listing saying, "I love their Italian Subs!! Best in town!" Also mentioned as making good sandwiches were Gregory's Restaurant (30 votes), Last Corner Restaurant (22 votes), Bagel World Bakery and Deli (20 votes), and Green Tomato (17 votes). Who won our weekly poll?
The results are in and the Hornet's Nest was named the best place for sandwiches in North Reading in last week's Best of Patch poll. The Hornet's Nest received 37 percent of the vote and edged out Ryers, which had 30 percent. Amy Lynch said, "Hornet's Nest hands down. They make everything they sell themselves!
