Joe Fish, North Reading to Open Monday

The seafood restaurant will open its doors Monday, Dec. 10.

The Joe Fish restaurant will open on Main Street in North Reading Monday, Dec. 10, according to the building department and an employee from Joe Fish in North Andover. The restaurant will be located in the old Piccadilly Pub.  Owners of Joe Fish in North Andover Jim Demetri and Jim Dietz pulled a demolition permit for the North Reading location back in August. The interior was gutted and renovated and the exterior was repainted and new signage installed. The restaurant will have 150 seats and 20 bar seats. The liquor license passed unanimously at a selectmen meeting in October. If they keep the same hours as their North Andover restaurant, they will open for lunch at 11:30 a.m. and close the kitchen at 10:30 p.m. The bar will close one …

I looked at the grass fields menu and the crabmeat pie was 14 there was no lobster pie on the menu. Crab meat and lobster are priced very differently. I do agree its high but market price on a lobster pie right now is around 30.   more ›

New Pizza Place in Reading, Joe Fish in North Reading and More Nearby Bites

Also in this month's restaurant round-up: a new restaurant in Wakefield and two new eateries to try in Andover.

We know Reading and North Reading residents don’t just stay in town when they want a night out and a break from cooking.  Restaurant coming and goings, new business and the best dishes and recipes are among the items that have appeared on Patch sites around the region over the past month. Below is a look at the restaurant and food stories covered in the past month. NORTH READING Owner of Mario's Opening New Restaurant in Beverly: Freeda's Pizza and Calzones, coming this November to the North Beverly Plaza, isn't your typical mom and pop pizza shop. Sure, the Guevara family has been operating Mario's Pizza in North Reading for 30 years. And, yes, mom and pop, in this case, Alfina and Romeo, are the president and vice president of the …

Pizza places, salons, and banks. Even my children groan about this. Could we please have a slot-car arcade, a used CD exchange, a knitting room? Maybe all in the same location? How about a falafel shop? A noodle joint? An organic café? A southern-fried-chicken stand? Or a cozy little sushi bar with an old-fashioned soda counter and a conveyor belt that brings your food? Where's the creativity in …   more ›

Joe Fish May Be Moving into Old Piccadilly Pub Location

A demolition permit was pulled by Jim's Restaurant Group, LLC, owned by Jim Dietz who runs Joe Fish.

There has been speculation that a Joe Fish restaurant will move into the old Piccadilly Pub location on Main Street in North Reading, and Jim's Restaurant Group, LLC, owned by Jim Dietz who owns and runs Joe Fish, pulled a demolition permit for the old Piccadily Pub location this week. The Piccadilly Pub closed its doors in February of this year, stating that it was temporary and their corporate office did not release any information on why they closed. In March, Town Administrator Greg Balukonis said he received a letter from Piccadilly Pub saying the company was shopping the empty building. The town's building department is still unable to confirm that Joe Fish will in fact be the restaurant that takes over the former Piccadilly Pub, as …
