As one of the libraries Summer Reading Sponsors, the Bruins donated money and a list of their favorite books.
For students, another summer vacation brings another session of summer reading, and the Boston Bruins have partnered with the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners to help guide young readers. The Flint Memorial Library was able to benefit from that partnership by receiving a generous financial donation and a list of the team's favorite books. Our taste in books is a reflection of personality, so it‘s no surprise that Bruins goalie Tim Thomas favors “Where the Wild Things Are?" Tim’s fondness for the 1963 children’s classic may even give fans a window into the inspiration behind his goal-tending style, as the 2011 Conn Smyth and Vezina Trophies winner continually frustrated NHL forwards with flares of his own “Wild Rumpuses”. The Bruins and Fox25's Zip Trip dominated social media this week.

The Bruins won the Stanley Cup, and North Reading has something to say about it.
The Bruins beat the Canucks in Vancouver on Wednesday, and the Stanley Cup is now in Boston. The victory parade will start at 11 a.m today at the Garden and end at Copley Square.

A Bruins party at Hess, canoe trip, and parade are all on tap this weekend.
Looking for something to do over the next few days? Here are some ideas: CELEBRATE THE BRUINS WITH HESS Where/when: All day Friday at Hess. There will be a D.J. and prizes after 3 p.m. Why go: Buy Bruins Championship merchandise and celebrate the Bruins with other community members. Cost: Free to enter. Hot dogs, water, chips, and soda for only $1. NARRATED CANOE TRIP ON MARTINS POND Where/when: Meet for the canoe trip at Clarke Park on 61 Burroughs Road. The trip will start at 9 a.m. and last for two hours. Why go: Get some exercise, have fun, and enjoy nature! Cost: $30 per canoe. Flotation devices will be provided. The Bruins play the Canucks tonight for the Stanley Cup, and residents are excited.
The Boston Bruins play the Vancouver Canucks tonight in game 7 for the Stanley Cup. The game is in Vancouver, and starts at 8 p.m. So far, the series is tied 3-3. Let's see if the B's can make history!
