Your Beliefs
At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. So in the spirit of simple honesty, our policy is to encourage our editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable. This disclosure is not a license for you to inject your beliefs into stories or to dictate coverage according to them. In fact, the intent is the opposite: we hope that the knowledge that your beliefs are on the record will cause you to be ever mindful to write, report and edit in a fair, balanced way. And if you ever see evidence that we failed in this mission, please let us know.

Hi Ashley! Firstly, thank you for taking over the RNR Patch, as covering two towns on one page can't be easy.
I, like some others, find the merge to be very annoying, and I was wondering if there was anything you could do do indicate from the title of an article which town the story is from. I was thinking something simple like prefacing each title with "Reading:" or "North Reading:". It would decrease confusion and perhaps cut down on some of the angry commenters.

Hi Joe,
There is currently an issue with the activity stream, and that is why you are having trouble posting. Our engineers are working on the problem.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience!

Hi Ashley,
It did it again for the third time. I put a comment on there and it shows up after it hit submit. I go out of Patch and come back in and it is gone? But I can comment on othe articles and it stays there.
Joe

Hi Joe,
A comment has to be flagged several times before it is removed.
As for "What do you have to say?" Your comment should have remained on the site. Are you sure you hit submit? Try it again, and let me know what happens! I'm sorry for the confusion.
Best,
Ashley
