Kara, a Reading native, is a University of Massachusetts, Amherst graduate with a degree in journalism and concentration in legal studies. Kara played on the Women's Club Soccer team her four years at UMass, and also played soccer and basketball for Reading Memorial High School. Kara also coaches freshman girls' basketball at Reading High, and has one season under her belt.
